The House of Pomegranates
The Reading Room
Pull a chair up to the fire. A chapter from our shelves, read aloud while the old house carries on softly around you.

Settle in. The room lights itself when the reading begins.
On the shelf
A new first chapter every other week, each from a House of Pomegranates edition, read by the Night Readers to the House: Miss Ottoline Marsh and Mr. Lucien Ashdown.
The room
Turn on what you'd like to hear. The occasional sounds arrive at random, so they never fall into a pattern.
Listening
- Play it through a speaker. On an iPhone, open Control Center once the reading starts, press and hold the playing tile, tap the AirPlay icon and choose your HomePod or speaker.
- Keep the page open. iPhone pauses web sounds when the screen locks, so tap Dim the screen instead.
- Lost your place? The room remembers where she stopped, and you can tap any paragraph in the text to hear it from there.
- For the whole night, the Night Parlour keeps the clock and its chimes going until morning.
